What to Expect

We get it, visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. Very intimidating.

But we know it can also a big step for you and your family. And we want to do everything we can to make your first experience at North Baptist Church be as smooth as possible. So here is some information about us and our Sunday morning service that you might find helpful before your first visit.
What time does the service start?
Our Sunday morning service begins at 9:30 am and usually ends by 10:45 am. You are welcome to a time of refreshments in our Fellowship Hall after the service. At 11:00 we have Engage Groups (E – Groups) for adults, youth , and children.. Even if you are unable to attend E-Groups – we welcome you to stay for our time of refreshments.
Where can I park?
Parking is available in the church parking lot on Sly Avenue (behind Kapral Auto). Street parking is also available on both Sly and Jennings. The main entrance to the church is on Sly Avenue, under the large brown awning.
What should I wear?
Our worship services are casual events, with people coming from different backgrounds. On any given Sunday, you can see people wearing suits, button-down shirts, jeans, and shorts. Come wearing whatever is comfortable to you; the important thing is that you come!
What about music?
At North Baptist Church we believe that God is great and worthy of all honor. At our Sunday morning service, we seek to honor God by singing songs about Him and to Him. We select songs that we believe powerfully convey His value and worth.
What about sermons?
We believe the Bible is from God, and that it speaks truth into every corner of our lives. So every Sunday morning one of our pastors will preach a sermon, providing an explanation and application from a portion of the Bible.
What about my children?
Childcare is provided during the morning service. Our nursery is for children ages 3 and under, and is available during the service and E-Groups.
